I’ve photographed so many friends’ wedding this year, new friends, old friends and friends of friends, which is always lovely and a pleasure to do. This friend, Charlotte, Ive known from a long, long time ago, our little group doing our best to study hard at college whilst having an eye for fun, fashion and style; Our Charlotte had the best eye for style, always looking beautiful, wearing the coolest clothes and the friend we all knew our parents would love but with a wicked sense of humour; we’ve remained friends for over 20 years. Dearest Charlotte always wanted to get married and today was her day. Nick, a similar character, unassuming and so well mannered waited patiently for his bride to arrive at the gorgeous Islington Town Hall on Upper Street in London, I always enjoy a wedding in London, especially when it is to see two so well suited people come together to promise to love each other forever.
Charlotte so carefully chose her outfit: Vintage skirt, sheer top and a stunning headpiece, the morning was calm as her and the bridesmaids got ready for the biggest day. Their friends and family waited patiently for them to say their vows, coupled with beautiful readings and a good throw of confetti, we all bundled into red routemasters for a bus drive around London. With champagne flowing, we arrived at the perfectly located Amadeus Venue in Little Venice.
A cake contest, sharing platters and fairy lights. Heartfelt speeches and Charlotte changing into her converse chucks for the dancing, it was all round a perfect day for this amazing couple.
You deserve the best C. You’ve always been an amazing friend and we’ve seen and been through a lot. It was just heart swelling to join you on your day. Biggest love to you both. xxx
